What is a critical fluid?
A fluid whose condition (quality, stability or performance) directly affects the availability, safety, efficiency or continuity of an operation, such as the diesel used by a fleet, farm machinery or generators.
What is the difference between S-10 and S-500 diesel?
The number indicates the maximum sulfur content: up to 10 mg/kg in S-10 and up to 500 mg/kg in S-500. S-10 is required by modern diesel engines (Proconve phase P7, vehicles from 2012 onwards), has a higher cetane number and produces fewer emissions. S-500 is still allowed for older engines and off-road applications. In both cases, storage conditions affect fuel quality at the time of use.
Why treat fuel with additives?
Diesel sold in Brazil contains biodiesel, which is more susceptible to oxidation, water absorption and microbial growth during storage. These processes form sludge and deposits that clog filters and injectors. The right additive helps preserve the fuel, keep the injection system clean and protect engine performance. The correct recommendation depends on the conditions of each operation.
Which products does Comercial Nacional distribute?
We distribute the Milex® additive line by Dorf Ketal: Milex® S9000, Milex® PX 3920 and Milex® Cleaner for diesel, Milex® Cleaner Flex for gasoline and ethanol, and the Milex® SR 8000 series for gasoline. We also distribute Dorf Ketal antioxidant additives for biofuels.
